I’m occasionally bearded, and I love going on hikes.
ROSS GOLDSTEIN
Hi there. So here’s a little snippet about me. First off, reading my resumé, you'll likely notice someone whose path doesn’t exactly follow that of a traditional ad creative. I like to think it's a good thing, because all my previous experiences as a video editor, VFX artist and matte painter for The Mill, even a blip in the tech world at an augmented reality start up, have lead to my strengths as a Creative Art Director. The funny thing is, sometimes it's my copywriting partner, Zach, who comes up with the picture, while I write the line. I guess I’m trying to say I bring some well rounded flavor to the mix.
Here’s what I believe I’m great at: coming up with the big ideas, and understanding the full production process. Whether it’s a commercial, a print ad, social, or radio - from concepting and storyboards, to editing and VFX I can envision the thing before it’s made and help my team and my clients see it too. It helps that I have a solid knack for photo retouching, design, and most post processes. I'm also no stranger to motion graphics, and over the years I’ve developed a decent grasp for what works in social and digital media.
I have been bringing all of this to the table most recently in campaigns for TBWA Chiat Day, directing a variety of production artists, and guiding younger creatives on my team.
Let’s make something together Soon…

ZACHARY CARLSON
What do you want to be when you grow up? That old question. I’ve always envied those who knew their answer early on. It took me some time, but I remember the precise moment I said, “This is what I want to do.” I was in college on a tour of Weiden + Kennedy in Portland, OR. We walked around the building. It was like most offices you’ve been to. Cubicles. Meeting rooms. Fax machines. Nothing special. But then, we went up to a different floor. The place was alive with energy and excitement. It pulsed of frustration, passion, failure, and success. This was the creative department. I fell in love instantly. It was then and there I knew that somehow, I wanted to be an advertising creative.
And here I am now. An advertising creative. Art? Copy? I guess by trade I’m a Copywriter, but at this stage of the game you gotta be an expert in one, and really good at the other. Which is why Ross and I excel as partners. We are great on both ends of the creative spectrum. But I’m also so much more than just a creative. I’m organized, meticulous, and passionate. It’s all these things, along with a great memory and solid leadership skills, that make me strong. Because we’re not in the business of advertising, we’re in the business of solving problems creatively.
let’s solve some problems together. Soon…
